The Neck offers convenient transportation options including rapid transit stations on the Orange Line and approximately 10 bus lines located near most residences. Good cycling infrastructure and nearby bike-share stations enhance mobility throughout the neighborhood. Daily essentials are easily accessible with both general and specialty grocery stores within reach, along with about 10 restaurants and several cafes. A range of primary and high schools are close by for educational needs. The neighborhood features diverse and bustling areas, with quiet streets and easy access to about 10 green spaces for outdoor relaxation. Housing options include duplexes, townhouses, and apartment buildings with two and three bedrooms available.

No matter what type of character home buyers prefer in a neighborhood, The Neck is a very good option. The noise levels in The Neck are low, as the streets are generally peaceful, however some parts can be quite loud, especially near I-93 or one of the railway lines. There are over 50 public green spaces close by for residents to enjoy, including Charlestown Navy Park, and they are especially well-situated, resulting in them being very easy to reach from the majority of locations within the neighborhood. Lastly, there are a large number of things to do in this part of the city to discover.
